If you or someone you know is having a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department if it is safe to do so.
In San Mateo County, there are a few options for crisis services:

StarVista Crisis Center and BHRS 24/7 Crisis Hotline and Mobile Crisis Response:
Residents can call the crisis line at any time for immediate support. Trained crisis counselors can help via phone call or dispatch a mobile crisis-response team of mental health clinicians to come in person if needed.

National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline:
Residents can call or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for free and confidential support. In many cases, local calls and texts are forwarded to the StarVista team.
